Technotribalism | 16th Athens Digital Arts Festival

TECHNOTRIBALISM

In this galaxy, not far away there is a “generation”, a tribe of people that are nurtured by technology. This generation has evolved its tech medium to a point where it has started to morph into its own entity. A new resource of power, a new regime, bringing humanity in the state we characterise techno-tribalism.

Our purpose for the 16th Athens Digital Arts Festival was to raise awareness and build anticipation about the 2020 Call For Entries themed “Technotribalism”.

In today’s world of short attention spans, you often have a matter of seconds to get your message across to your audience.  We tried to communicate the broad strokes of “Technotribalism” in a quick, snappy way, concisely communicating the really important key points, and creating instant understanding.

We know from experience that video is an amazing way to explain a message. It combines audio, visual and kinetic elements to  lightbulb moments that inspire action. So we created a teaser video in order to distil the message into a bite-size, digestible package that’s easy and fun to watch.

After all, the better the audience understands what is about, the more likely they are to take the positive action. Giving away just a little bit of the information is a great way to make the audience wonder what else there is to see.
